La Flamme de l’Armagnac is alight

At the end of the grape harvest, the alambics wake up and the roving distillers start their long journey through the vineyards… The distillation season can start !

Every year, the Flamme de l’Armagnac – that which lights the alambics so that they can bring forth the new vintage – travels the roads of the region.  Whilst the first drops of the new eau-de-vie flow, the tables are laid at the foot of the alambic and the whole of Gascony lives to the rhythm of the distillation. In the heart of the villages, on the producer’s estates and in the distilleries, all sorts of activities take place – alambic demonstrations, lunches and dinners, tastings of local produce and Armagnac – are organised in the spirit of sharing and conviviality so dear to the Armagnac people.

Come to enjoy these days of celebration from October to January and discover the new eau-de-vie, the culmination of the artisan producers’ passionate labour of love.  This year, the festivities start on 21st October at the « Armagnac en Fête » event in Labastide d’Armagnac.
