Having discovered the pleasure of Armagnac, founding owner and head chocolatier at Honeycomb Project Management, Andrew Newlands has made a New Year's resolution and adopted the full-bodied Gascon brandy as his favourite tipple.
His conversion was always on the cards, until recently his favourite tipple had been the 'big cousin' of Armagnac, but under the guidance of the Gascony regions's ambassador and educator, Amanda Garnham, who led him through his Armagnac tasting experience, Andrew sampled this delightfully noble spirit with a long and colourful history and that, as they say, was that.
Andrew commented, "I loved this artisanal product, with its complexity of fragrant aromas and deep rich flavours. My first sip was a magical moment of pleasure; the Armagnac was the most perfect accompaniment to my curiously moreish Monty Bojangles truffles."
Andrew is certain that this is a New Year's resolution he will keep.
