Tasting an Armagnac means first to smell it.  Smell plays a vital role in the tasting in order to enjoy a true experience.

Each Armagnac plays its own olfactory music.  The diversity of perfumes, terroirs and the men that make it means that the pleasure of its discovery is constantly evolving.

To appreciate the aromatic complexity of Armagnac you need to practise.  A perfume is above all a memory.  Smell is therefore a question of memory.  Our personal repertoire is enriched even more by curiosity and indulgence.

It is also a question of education.  Educating your nose to take the time to analyse the sensations.  Armagnac has a rhythm of its own.  You must be patient in order to give it time to wake up and to reveal itself in a good mood.

A time machine

Take the time to let the essences charged with aromas invade the attentive nostrils.  Then, like a time machine, bring to mind the memories of scents buried in each of us since childhood. 

Experience is the surest way of refining your sense of smell so that each tasting proudly reveals the perfumes that give Armagnac its identity.
